Help Improve Urdu-Hindi Translation

Now, you can help improve Urdu-Hindi Translation done by Bhomiyo.com.

Since 1st of Jun, people tried out Urdu-to-Hindi trasnliteration for around 142 times. Since by manipulating the characters only, the transliteration is not accurate, an online list of Urdu-to-Hindi word map is put up that people can help improving.

Go to: http://www.bhomiyo.com/docs/helpurduhindi.aspx. You will see following screen:

Help Improve urdu-hindi translation

You can type in Hindi (either with your IME or with bhomiyo keyboard by checking on the box at top) – the correct word under “Correct Hindi” column. If you have any comments, you can put comment too.

And then mark “DONE” box. Marking the DONE box will SAVE your changes.

Marking “DELETE” checkbox will delete the word from list – this will happen when you click on Next Page or refresh the page.

If you have comments, please let us know.

Try out Bhomiyo’s UrduToHindi Transliteration – you will see that it has improved now…

  1. भाई, मुझे भोमियो पर जो कुछ भी अंग्रेजी में है, पढने में नहीं आता। यानी वह सब जंक दिखता है। मैंने रवि भाई से भी इसे दूर करने की हिकमत मांगी है। मैं इसकी वजह से उर्दू-हिन्दी में क्या करना है, भोमियो पर पता नहीं चल रहा है। मैं फायर फॉक्स और एक्सपलोरर दोनों में कोशिश कर चुका हूँ। अगर आप उर्दू-हिन्दी की फाइल मुझे भेज दें तो शायद मैं इन शब्दों के बारे में मदद कर सकूँ। हकीकत यह है कि मैं मदद करना चाहता हूँ।

  2. आपकी हिम्मत की दाद देनी पडेगी। जी, ट्रांसलिटरेशन पहले से बेहतर लग रहा है। एक-एक शब्द देखना होगा। मैंने बीबीसी उर्दू देखा है।
    जैसे एक तुरंत नजर पडी है जैसे उर्दू में ‘खुद’ है वह ‘खवद’ हो गया। उर्दू में खे और वाव जब मिलेंगे तो खु या खू हो जायेगा।

  5. Madad main Bhi karna chahta hoon par shayad karna mushkil hi hai kyonki hindi fonts main matrayen kabhi pahle, kabhi bad main, kabhi neeche kabhi oopar lagti hain. Aapko ise aur develope karna padega.

    Aap ke dukh ka kaaran kya hai? Aap ka nirdesh bhomiyo site ki taraf hai ya fir sab indian software vaalo ki taraf hai?

    आप ऐसा क्युं मानते हो की हिन्दी ठीक से लिखा नहीं जाता. हिन्दी में कितने ब्लोग्स है, कितनी साइट्स है जो हिन्दी में बनी हुइ है. और भी बहुत सारी भाषाओ में टाइप कर सक्ते हो.

    यदी आपको भोमियो के कीबोर्ड से टाइप करने में तकलीफ होती है तो आप कोइ — डाउनलोड कर लो.

    आप को जो भी मदद चाहिये बोलिये. अमरिका में रहने वालो को गाली दे तो सक्ते हो लेकिन इस वजह से तो जरुर नहि. दुसरी वजह कोइ हो तो बोलिये.

  9. Sir,

    I find your site very useful for work with Indian languages. With regards to your feature of helping to improve Hindi-Urdu transliteration, it is my request that if the Urdu-Hindi transliteration data can be made available to me in Excel/ CSV file format I would be able to help in sorting out the various errors in the data.

    I’m learning Urdu and have access to Urdu as well as Hindi dictionaries and I would suggest that instead of phonetic transliteration an accurate Hindi spelling equivalent be provided. I often use the X-Transliterate feature to transliterate BBC-Urdu or any other urdu news sites and I would find it very useful if the transliterations are more accurate in terms of Hindi spelling. Also hindi to urdu transliterations can be implemented in the future.
